How to Manage WooCommerce Orders

Step 1: Go to Orders Page

  1. Login to your WordPress admin

  2. From the left menu, click WooCommerce > Orders

Step 2: Understand Order Status

Each order will have a status label such as:

StatusMeaning
PendingOrder received, but no payment yet
ProcessingPayment received, order is being prepared/shipped
On HoldWaiting for manual confirmation (e.g., bank transfer)
CompletedOrder is fulfilled and shipped
CancelledCustomer or admin cancelled order
FailedPayment failed (due to gateway or customer)

Step 3: View Order Details

  1. Click on any order ID or customer name

  2. You’ll be taken to the Order Details page

Inside, you’ll see:

  • Customer info (name, address, phone, email)

  • Products ordered

  • Payment method

  • Notes (e.g., from payment gateway)

  • Order status dropdown

Step 4: Update Order Status

  1. On the left sidebar, find the Order Status dropdown

  2. Choose new status (e.g., from “Processing” to “Completed”)

  3. Add an optional note (for internal use or customer email)

  4. Click Update
